CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Mixed Age Classes(Newborn - 4with Adults)
Adults, regardless of musical ability, can help create an environment that helps children achieve basic music competence. Children of mixed ages participate at their own level by singing, moving, chanting, listening, and exploring musical instruments.Educators have long considered mixed age groupings to be beneficial, and the Music Together program is designed with this in mind. This creates a family-like atmosphere where siblings can attend together (babies 8 months and younger are free with a registered sibling) and allows each child the freedom to participate as he or she chooses without being burdened by age-specific expectations. Each child participates at his or her own level. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating the older ones and older ones learn by leading the younger ones. Any caregiver can bring the child or children - nanny, grandarent, or parents. Siblings over 8 months pay a reduced fee.

4s/5s Class (with Adults)

These classes are designed especially for older students who have been in Music Together for several semesters and are “ready for something a little different.” Enrollment is at the discretion of the director.

Infants Class

Every child's music development benefits from early exposure to music and movement. Infants express their musical development differently from older children, and their parents often appreciate having information specific to infants' musical development. This class serves as a one-trimester introduction to the Music Together program for infants under 9 months old. Meet other parents of newborns and learn some fascinating music activities you can recreate at home with your baby. Infants also benefit from mixed-age classes, if one of them fits better into your schedule.
